The year of 2024 is filled with books! So thankful to have found likeminded ladies who love to read books. We have started a book club, from just my dear friend and myself, to the three of us, and then four of us. Lord willing we will be able to encourage other ladies to read good and edifying books!

Reading Overview

I still hate audiobooks, e-books, and hardcovers. My tolerance to hardcover books is better than the first two. 😁 However, I want to change up my reading game this year. I would like to give audiobooks and e-books a second chance.

I have finished one book on Audible this week and started my second book. It is not bad. In fact, I have been enjoying listening to an audiobook while painting. But, honestly it will only work for easy read type of books.

I haven’t gave the e-book a try. I won’t be able to do it on my smartphone as it is too small (my eyes have recently been “awarded” with an extra +1 and reading has been a different experience for me). I am hoping to get a cheap tablet to read e-books.

Other things I want to do more this year is to read history and classic fiction. The later I think would be the hardest for me. I will start by using Audible to ease my reluctant and the goal is to read 2 classic novels. I have been collecting classic novels with hope I would read them and fall in love with them. But they have been serving as a nice decoration on my bookshelves and a conversation starter that doesn’t go anywhere because, well, I haven’t read them. 😆 Let’s change that this year!

List of Books to Read

With the game plan laid out successfully, I would like to excite you with list of books I want to read this year. Please pay attention to the word that is underlined, italicized, and is in bold.
