The weather has been awful for the past few days. Storm is brewing in the sky. One day it was super hot and humid, and we got a swarm of thunder flies on the west side of the house. Never seen something like it before. They are harmless but they can be very annoying when they get to your skin, especially your face.
This morning I woke up not long after 5. It was chilli! I had to put on my cardigan. I read an interesting essay by Elizabeth Prata and did a bit of organising in my study room. My study is actually in a guest room. We do not have the bed yet, but next week the bed will be here. I am still trying to figure out the best layout for this room. It is the biggest room in the house and it is an ensuite room. Anyway, I’ll try around.
The sunroom is now organised and I did my morning Bible reading there.
Mum came to visit. Dad popped in briefly before heading off to his shop. They saw the “new” painted kitchen. We are glad that they are pleased. Had a chat with Mum and she left to do shopping.
The weather got ugly quickly. It was thundering, raining, and very windy. Andrew brought in our bushy tomato plant. Its leaves look so yellow and unhealthy but it produces many tomatoes already. This is our very first tomato plant so we are still unsure about things. What we are sure of is that we enjoy our learning time growing little crops in pots.
It is Saturday. The end of the week is here. I have to continue organising my study. I wanted to sew another hand towel, but I forgot to buy an extension cable for my sewing machine and the iron. The shop is now closed. I will go on Monday and I need to go to the post office as well.
I will do a bit of reading and I might write a letter.
It has been a good week.

Coram Deo:
My Bible reading this morning was on the letter of Jude. Considering the time Jude lived, as recorded in the study Bible, he lived at a time of difficulty for Christians, this brief letter is certainly full of warnings and exhortations. Christians of Jude’s time were under political attack from Rome, spiritual infiltration from gnostic-like apostates and libertines. Sounds like what we face, does it not? Oh, nothing new under the sun. We will continue to witness doctrinal and moral apostasy. We are grieving. We might get discouraged. But we Christians have a sure foundation. A strong Cornerstone. Christ Himself. on which we may build ourselves up in the faith.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 1:20-21)
I was certainly encouraged and very thankful for the Word of God. I see how the Lord continues to restore me after a difficult time. Lord, thank you!
I am memorizing these verses!
