A new addition to my dress collection. A baby blue gingham tea dress. I drafted the pattern myself, and I used French Seam to create a neat look. It works so well since the fabric is lightweight.
I wear size 6-8, but with the intention of trying out the pattern I drafted, I made this dress in size 10. So, yes it is a little big on me. It took me a few days to finish this dress, but overall happy with the result and certainly learned a lot throughout the process. French Seam was at first so intimidating, but I think I am now liking it after seeing the finished garment.
A simple and versatile tea dress that you can wear in summer, and layered up for winter. The dress also has pockets!
This design is now available for made-to-order in my shop with various gingham fabric colours that you can choose.
