How many of us are ready to unplug the television set and take a hard look at our own relationships and personal lives? How many of us actually support the brothers and sisters around us in the daily struggle for purity?

Godly relationship is not an easy topic. Actually this is a heavy topic which penetrated into our daily relationships with others. The quote above should be our ‘appetizer’ to start watching seriously how is our relationship with others today? Every people looks for a love that last, pure and honest. Am I? Yes! Are you? I guess soo. But in fact, a lot of relationships go without purity.
Purity in relationship is needed. And we need to start it from our selves. It will take courage and self discipline to really live a different way. Be ready!
Why we have to fight for Godly Relationship? This is the truth about it:
We were created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27). God’s image set us a part. We can’t find meaning or purpose without God who created us. God’s image mean:
- We are to be a living picture of who God is
- We are co-workers who further his work of creating and nurturing life.
- We belongs to him and we should remain related to him and bound to his authority
It mean when we are separate our selves from God we lose sight of our purpose here on earth. And when God’s image in us defaced, our relationship with other lose purpose. Today, the differences between man and woman are blurred and distorted. We talk about women equality but practically women are abused and exploited more than before. For some people marriage is no longer regarded as a sacred, but only experiments or contracts. And children are often no longer treasured, they are unwanted..and abortion cases increase.
We believe God created every person in his image, he has set a specific task for every man, woman and child, a task he expect us to fulfill. If God’s image in us defaced, so how we can know the purpose and how we can fulfill our task?
God created us to live with and for others. We need seek community of love with our neighbor again and again and we called to be a helper, a brother or sister. And the good news is that each of us can be an instrument of God’s love. This is another character of our awesome God. When he call us to do something, he will give us ability and strenght to do that. We can be the LOVE warrior, one thing needed is to remain in God and filled with his love. Because God is the source and the object of true love. Love, every kinds of love, always has its roots in him.
