Shop updates:
- It has been two weeks since I reopened my shop. I am grateful for the resources I have
- The last couple weeks I have been making cute products, pitching on markets, and observing social media marketing. Honestly I struggled with the social media part but I’ll slowly make it work
- I just launched pouches collection and wristlets. They were very fun to make
- I have set up my shop on TikTok, but kept failing to set up my shop on Instagram.
Thing I learned
One of many things I have learned so far is that I need to be discipline with my off-work time. I set my working time from 9 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday. However, I have been working even after dinner time.
I do enjoy what I am doing, have set myself goals and deadlines, and I determined to meet them —and I haven’t missed shop deadlines which is good, but I need some changes here.
Starting a small business requires a lot of work. I want to make it happen alongside my other commitments. So, rethinking my strategies is certainly necessary.
Things I need to do
This is a note for myself.
- Monthly launch rather than bi-weekly launch. This to give me more time to ideate, develop, and make my collections
- Time blocking with all my priorities & commitments in mind. Besides homemaking and work, I have a course to do, and 2 Bible study groups to attend weekly
- Accountability. My husband has been my best supporter and accountability partner. He will continue to keep me accountable regarding my off-work times
Oh, it has been two weeks, and I am thankful. I will work diligently and may it all bring glory to the Lord.
